About Sanctuary for Second Chances
About Us
The Sanctuary for Second Chances, Inc. is a non-profit, non-government organization (CSO/NGO) dedicated to addiction recovery, stigma-reduction, and sustainable reintegration. We believe recovery should feel like healing—not punishment. That is why we operate as a non-TC, non-lock-up, open doors addiction recovery center, where individuals are treated with dignity, compassion, and trust.
Our Location – Cavite’s Hidden Refuge for Recovery
We are based in the peaceful town of Magallanes, Cavite, a community known for its agricultural heritage and warm hospitality. Just a few minutes away from Tagaytay City and less than two hours from Metro Manila, our center offers both accessibility and serenity.
This unique setting makes the Sanctuary for Second Chances an ideal place for individuals seeking recovery—a safe distance from the distractions of the city, yet close enough for family support and reintegration planning. Surrounded by fresh air, greenery, and the simplicity of rural life, the Sanctuary for Second Chances feels more like a retreat or vacation home than a rehabilitation facility.
Unlike traditional centers that focus on confinement, we provide an open doors environment where participants can reflect, learn, and grow. This atmosphere reduces fear and resistance, making addiction recovery a positive experience—something to look forward to, rather than something to endure.
Our Role in National Advocacy – Drug Demand Reduction & Stigma-Reduction
As part of our commitment to national healing, we are actively pursuing accreditation as a PDEA-Accredited Partner NGO under the Drug Demand Reduction Program. Our application for accreditation is already in progress.
This partnership affirms our dedication to:
- Reducing the demand for illegal drugs through values-driven education, prevention, and recovery support
- Promoting stigma-reduction by equipping families, schools, churches, and communities to welcome individuals in recovery as valuable members of society
We also address gambling addiction, co-dependency, and compulsive behaviors, ensuring that our recovery framework is inclusive and responsive to diverse struggles.
What Makes Us Different
- Holistic, Non-Clinical Approach – We integrate values-based recovery, spiritual grounding, life-skills training, and evidence-informed practices into a seamless, personalized framework.
- Beyond Substance Use – Programs that address gambling addiction, co-dependency, and compulsive behaviors alongside chemical dependency.
- Family-Centered Healing – Healing Together: Family Support Sessions to strengthen communication, boundaries, and reconciliation.
- Community Connection – Values-based groups, peer mentoring, life-skills reinforcement, and recovery coaching for reintegration.
- Multi-Track Recovery Support – Tailored for substance use, gambling, co-dependency, and compulsive behaviors.
Our approach blends evidence-informed recovery planning with compassionate peer support, ensuring that every participant is seen as a whole person—not defined by their struggles, but strengthened by their courage to heal.

Our Mission
The Sanctuary for Second Chances, Inc. exists to walk with individuals seeking freedom from chemical dependency, co-dependency, and destructive behavioral patterns rooted in dysfunction and compulsion.
As a Non-Therapeutic Community (Non-TC), we offer a structured transitional housing and renewal program grounded in:
- Spiritual Reflection
- Supportive Fellowship
- Principles inspired by the Twelve Steps
We create a sanctuary where lives are renewed, hope is restored, and dignity is honored—apart from clinical or medical interventions.
Our Vision
We envision a compassionate and spiritually grounded community where individuals in recovery rediscover their purpose, rebuild their lives with integrity, and live with hope, resilience, and meaningful connection—free from the grip of addiction and compulsive behaviors.
